SURF LONDON
London, United Kingdom
The Wave London is a pioneering leisure and wellbeing destination that reimagines an underutilised 22.8-hectare golf course in Enfield’s Metropolitan Green Belt as a regenerative landscape powered by water, movement, and inclusive design. Led by MOOWD, the masterplan blends adventurous infrastructure with ecological sensitivity—delivering a place where surfing, health, and nature converge.
At its centre is a world-class inland surf lagoon powered by Endless Surf technology, surrounded by a landscape-led experience of biodiverse parklands, lakeside terraces, woodland trails, and sensory play. A new public park and activity zone—including skate and pump tracks, sports courts, and outdoor fitness—extend the site's benefit to the wider community, promoting active lifestyles and equitable access to green space.
Planning approval was granted in September 2025, with delivery set to commence in 2027. The masterplan integrates green roofs, SuDS, circular construction, and low-carbon infrastructure to deliver long-term environmental and social value. The result is more than a surf park—it’s a new model for regenerative placemaking, where landscape leads, architecture adapts, and leisure becomes a driver of urban and ecological renewal.
